A digital tumor board solution impacts case discussion time and postponement of cases in tumor boards

Abstract Multidisciplinary tumor boards (TBs) is an integral part of cancer care. Emerging evidence shows that effective TB implementation crucial. It remains largely unknown how digital solutions can assist conduction. This study aimed to evaluate the impact a solution on case discussion during meetings in four types: Breast, Gastrointestinal (GI), Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT), and Hematopathology. A prospective was performed time pre- post-solution implementation, at US academic healthcare center. Data were recorded by Nurse Navigator for each meetings. Case times 2312 patients, total 286 Significant decreases observed average breast GI TBs. We trend reduction variance all TBs, suggesting potential standardize via provision uniform presentation data access. Postponement rate decreased from 23 10% ENT TB. demonstrated enhanced with heterogeneity across types.
